High school students are matched with a CPE mentor in the 10th grade and have the opportunity to participate in activities such as college campus tours, financial aid workshops, and career exploration events to help them get to and through college.

Young adults with mentors are 55% more likely to enroll in college.

“Honestly, the only person that I knew who had gone to college was my mentor. She was the one example I had in my life at that time of what a college graduate actually looked like.”

-Bennisha, CPE Alumna and Current Mentor

Since the majority of our students are first-generation to college, the process of enrolling in college can be daunting for them and their families. Our approach is designed to ensure students not only have access to earning a degree, but also have the tools and support they need to achieve success.

  • Soft-skill development
  • Campus tours
  • University fit and match counseling
  • Financial aid workshops

“Terrence helped me with the college application process by giving me the pros and cons of every school I was interested in. This gave me clarity when I applied because I was able to make an educated decision on what school truly fit my values.” -Julius, CPE alum and current mentor
