Celia is a Program Coordinator at CPE where she helps manage a caseload of student-mentor pairs for CPE’s high school program. She serves as a resource and support system for CPE’s high school students and their mentors to help ensure our students are developing a meaningful relationship with their mentor and cultivating the skills they need to get to and through college. Learn more about Celia in the interview below:
What college did you attend?
I attended the University of Maryland (College Park) and received my Bachelor of Science in Family Science.
If you could learn to do anything, what would it be?
Play the guitar! I love spontaneous jam sessions with friends.
What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
Spending time at the dog park with my dog, eating Korean BBQ, and binge-watching shows/movies.
If you could meet anyone, who would it be?
Anyone from BTS! I admire how their career has progressed from music to being recognized as global figures. Plus, I would love for them to teach me how to dance haha.
What three traits define you?
Team-player, cheerful, and supportive
What’s the most rewarding aspect about your role at CPE?
Knowing that I am making a direct change in someone’s life. Advising a student on an academic matter, talking to guardians about their home life, and talking to mentors about their mentorships can make positive impacts toward a student’s journey to higher education.
What is your favorite part about working for CPE?
My favorite part about working for CPE is not only seeing the students grow but seeing our company grow as well. We are always striving to do more for our students, families, and mentors.
