Adriona is a Program Coordinator at CPE where she helps manage a caseload of student-mentor pairs for CPE’s college program. She serves as a resource and support system for CPE’s college students and their mentors to help ensure our students maintain a strong relationship with their mentor and cultivate the skills they need to get through college. What college did you attend?
I went to Georgia State University for undergrad and my graduate program – go panthers! Both of my degrees are in social work.
If you could learn to do anything, what would it be?
I’d like to learn how to play the piano or tap dance!
What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
I enjoy watching documentaries and YouTube beauty tutorials, finding new restaurants, and doing DIY projects.
If you could meet anyone, who would it be?
I’d like to meet John Lewis. He’s been so involved with various social justice movements since he was a teenager, and I find that really inspiring.
What three traits define you?
Dependable, attentive, and practical.
What’s the most rewarding aspect about working with CPE’s students and mentors?
As a college program coordinator, it’s nice to see the students and mentors with long-standing relationships get to a point where they’re more like family and connect on a deeper level.
What is your favorite part about working for CPE?
My favorite thing is witnessing students’ growth and watching them become more confident with their skills as they work toward their own personal goals.
