Every year, we host an annual celebration to highlight The Power of Relationships. We’re joined by students, mentors, community partners, and supporters of our mission to raise awareness about the impact of our program.
The event highlights how we mentor low-income, and often first-generation students, to and through college, helping them gain the skills necessary to graduate with a Bachelor’s degree and succeed in the workforce.
Due to social distancing guidelines in place as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, we have postponed our annual event that was originally scheduled for April 23, 2020.
Last year, we had the privilege of having Dr. Freeman Hrabowski deliver our keynote. His inspiring speech reminded us of why we exist – to create a community of support through strong relationships so that everyone can achieve more.
He ended his keynote with these words of advice: “Watch your thoughts, they become your words. Watch your words, they become your actions. Watch your actions, they become your habits. Watch your habits, they become your character. Watch your character, it becomes your destiny, dreams, and values.”
Watch our recap video from last year’s celebration to see what the experience was like. CPE celebrated its 25th anniversary with more than 300 guests.

We’re looking forward to hosting this event next year and will share updates in the coming months as we are committed to keeping our staff, students, mentors, and community safe during this time. For additional questions, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
